Home Pointers Moon

Moon

Moon is a gorgeous solid black pointer bitch from Lebanon. She was found with other pointers in a backyard. It was summer and they were left with no shelter, water or food. The pointers were all very skinny and emaciated. The owner used them previously for breeding but they were no longer of use. Unfortunately, due to financial circumstances, they were left without food.

Luckily the volunteers of the Lebanese shelter decided to rescue the dogs and take care of them until they find their forever homes. Pointers In Need is helping these dogs to find their new families in the UK. Any vet checks, the passport and the travel is all being arranged between the Lebanese charity and Pointers In Need so please don’t look past these dogs. They really deserve the warmth of a home and to be part of a family.

The volunteers say that Moon is very sweet and a bit timid. A sweet panther with deep brown eyes. She walks well on the leash but she will need to learn indoor manners having lived in a backyard previously. She hasn’t been cats or children tested but this can be discussed if of interest. Moon is approximately 4 years old.

We don’t know if Moon was used for hunting and her hunting instincts (being a pointer) will need to be checked. It is likely that she will need some robust recall training and general training to help her gain confidence and feel part of the family pack. Pointers in Need can offer support on this thanks to our gundog/working dog expert.

Moon does not have any apparent health issues and she is completing her vet checks including bloods, neutering and vaccinations. She was found quite skinny but she is now gaining weight at the shelter, she should reach around 20kg. Moon is now ready to travel.

If you feel like you could offer Moon a home or simply would like to know more about her, please contact us and a member of our team will be in touch to run through the information and the adoption process.
