We’ve taken this sweet lad under our wing. Oliver is a solid orange pointer from Montenegro. He was found abandoned near the home of his rescuer. He is approximately 8 years old and deserves a chance to find his forever family where he can spend happily the rest of his life.
He was quite skinny when found but is now gaining a healthy weight. He has been to the vet and is being treated for anaplasma and heartworm. He has an enlarged skin tag on his belly typical of dogs who lived their lives on concrete floors. This can be assessed by a vet for possible removal for aesthetic reasons if the prospective adopters wish to do so.
His forever family will need to guide him and give him love and patience. He can get very excited at times and having starved in the past he is possessive around food. Oliver was likely used as a hunting dog and then discarded when no longer needed. He has high prey drive that will need to be managed via training.
Oliver is a smart boy who is looking for his family and a chance to know the comforts of a home.
