Wish is a sweet black and white pointer from Lebanon. He is ready to travel any time, just needs to find his forever home.
He was found wandering in a neighbourhood where people would throw rocks and water at him to keep him away. The local shelter rescued him in February 2021 and he is now in a boarding facility.
Wish is doing really well. He has gained 11kgs since arriving in the shelter. He is 33kg and 50cm tall to the withers. He is a big gentle lad.
Wish should be around 2/3 years old, does not have any apparent medical issues and does not take any medication. He has been neutered.
We are waiting for updated blood tests. He does have all the vaccinations and rabies up to date in a record book.
The local shelter says that Wish is super friendly with all dogs no matter the size or the gender. He loves humans and shows his sweet and friendly nature.
He has been child tested and he walks well on the leash.
His hunting instincts will need to be checked being a pointer.
We recommend that his new family spends some time in helping him settle in his new environment. Indoor manners and recall will be the minimum training required. Pointers, being a working dog breed, benefit from positive reinforcement training and this helps less confident ones to come out of their shell.
