Domino is a very handsome, liver and white pointer cross, who was handed into a pound in Spain, so we don’t know anything about his background other than he is about two years old.
Domino is now living in a foster home and this is what they say about him:
“Meet Domino (or as my daughter calls him, Dolmio). He is currently living in a foster home in East Sussex.
Domino is a handsome 2-year-old Pointer cross. He is such a joyful but mischievous lad. He is full of puppy like energy. He is house-trained, crate-trained and good when travelling in a car. He loves nothing more than chasing a ball. He’ll even bring it back and drop it (eventually!) for you to throw it again. He loves to play tug of war with humans or his dog family.
Domino loves his food. In fact, any food he can find. Even things that shouldn’t be on his menu. He eats from a slow feeder bowl as he tends to eat too quickly. He has learnt to leave humans alone when they are eating. He does not guard food or toys. He is happy to share with the 4 Pointers he current lives with.
He is a lively boy who needs intensive training to combat some puppy tendencies of jumping up and mouthing to initiate play with his favourite humans or when he gets excited. He has made good progress but will need more work. He walks beautifully on a figure of 8 head collar.
He needs a very active home. He would be a fantastic candidate for an activity such as flyball or canicross. He would also do well with scent training. These activities will give him a “job” to do, help his concentration and will secure a bond with his new family. A calm household with no small children as he could knock a small child over when he gets excited and may steal food from a young child’s hands at any opportunity. He can live with similar sized dogs but not small toy breeds. He cannot live in a household with cats or any small animals as he has a very high hunting instinct.
Domino needs an experienced home with someone who can instill firm boundaries and continue his training journey.
