Meet Luka, a handsome and energetic young dog in search of an active, experienced owner. He’s 15 months old, the age when he enjoys testing all the boundaries. Through no fault of his own he is now looking to be rehomed. He’s currently in the Salisbury area and his current owners are happy to arrange for visits to meet prospective adopters.
Despite his playful nature, Luka is well-trained. He’s crate-trained, housebroken, and walks beautifully on a lead in built up areas. Like most Pointers Luka gets easily distracted when out in woodlands and open fields, but he’s a quick learner so with continuous work and not too much stimulation he’ll learn to listen.
Luka thrives on physical and mental stimulation, he has a high hunting instinct. A home with an active owner or couple who enjoys the outdoor life would be ideal. It is clear that Luka needs a companion (dog/s) and much more outside space to exercise/run. Ideally new owners will be experienced in hunting/outside pursuits with high energy dogs.
While Luka is generally friendly, he may be too boisterous for young children.
Luka is a wonderful dog with a lot to offer. He deserves a forever home where he can thrive and be cherished.
