Luma is a gorgeous, friendly, solid black 3 year-old girl who was in a pound in Spain for 7 months before being rescued. She was in a very poor state and probably would not have survived.
Luma loves to please. She is in an experienced foster home in the UK and this is what her carer says about her a week after she moved in: “She is quickly learning what living in a house is all about. She arrived very skinny with a poor coat and was absolutely food obsessed. In her short time here she has got used to a regular mealtime routine, sleeps happily in the crate all night, is clean in the house and has learned to sit and wait. She is slowly gaining a bit of weight and her coat has improved significantly, it is now shiny and black.
She was initially frightened of traffic but is getting much more confident now when out walking and is learning to walk nicely on the lead. She is friendly with everyone she meets, human and dogs.
She has learned so much in her short time here, we are so proud of her. She is eager to please and rushes out of bed each morning ready for all the experiences of the new day.
So far here she has encountered squirrels, cats, hedgehogs and horses to which she has shown some reaction but shows more interested in birds, so I would think that she probably shows an average prey drive for a pointer.”
She is about 50+cm at the shoulders, smaller than she looks in the photos, which do not really do her justice at all.
Luma needs a home and a family to call her own. With good food, kindness and a soft bed to rest her head, she will become a stunning girl.
