Maya is the sweetest pointer girl in the world, we found her when she was in a really bad situation, almost starved to death and with 7 babies depending on her. She had a bone stuck in her mouth (see picture) and she could not eat properly.
She is now 28kg, 53cm tall. Ready to leave Turkey in January. She has now gained weight and gone through a lot of healing. After we separated her from her babies she found herself again.
Maya loves to snuggle under the blanket, but she has never felt love before so she needs a lot of reassurance that she is welcome and allowed to be in the room and space where she is.
She tends to make herself invisible, so she needs to be seen. There is so much of her yet to see.
Maya is a funny girl, a total hoarder, she will collect all the blankets, toys, shoes and whatever else she finds and put them in her safe space, but she doesn’t destroy anything.
Until now she hasn’t had any accidents in the house. She sleeps in the fosterer daughter’s bedroom at night and she hasn’t chewed on any of her things.
Maya is trying really hard to be a perfect girl. She is kind to all the other dogs and doesn’t lash out. She is good with cats and doesn’t mind sharing a room with them.
She can be protective with her food, which is normal after almost starving to death…
Maya has had a total check up. Now that she stopped breastfeeding she started playing with the other dogs and acting like a dog again.
Maya is a calm dog. She doesn’t pull the leash and she would be great in any family, with kids or older people. With or without other animals.
She will definitely be the perfect dog to have by your feet while reading a book.
Maya will not go out in the cold without her Jacket on.
Maya has learned that the bad days are behind her. From now on she will have soft pillows and warm blankets.
