Melek was found in a government shelter in Istanbul, Turkey by a volunteer and she is now in a UK foster home.
She is circa 4 years old, her weight is circa 20 kg and she is neutered.
Melek as some old scars on her right hip but generally she is in good health and does not take any medications.
She is microchipped and tested for Mediterranean diseases.
Melek is a very friendly dog and gets on with both humans and dogs alike. A bit timid at first she then opens up if she is given her time to adjust. She is sensitive and calm. She will be a great companion in a home that can provide her the support and training she needs to gain her full confidence back.
This is what her fosterer says of her:
“Melek has now arrived in UK foster. I’ve introduced her to my 2 pointers with no issue at all, she gets on well with all dogs she meets and she’s settled into home life really well with no accidents, no anxiety, or food aggression just a very sweet natured sofa loving girl who is in her own little world watching the birds.
Melek is Turkish for angel and she truly lives up to her name. I really cannot believe how she’s come from a shelter to home environment taking everything in her stride. She didn’t react at all with the hoover or when the TV was switched on all these new scenarios and she’s as calm as anything. a beautiful sweet girl who will be suited to any family even if you work she’s great at being left with no chewing or noise just takes her self off to bed.
Can’t praise her enough as this little pointer deserves a loving home she’s super please take my word for that.”
