Somebody actually stopped their car whilst Yurid was being taken for a walk, just to admire him. He is not only beautiful to look at but he has a big, gentle heart.
Yurid was rescued by Pointers in Need from Spain and was then adopted in the UK in September 2023. Sadly his adopter has suffered a major change in domestic circumstances and is no longer able to keep Yurid.
Yurid is currently in foster care while we find the perfect home for him. He is approximately two years old, neutered and a big softie who loves nothing more than stretching out next to you on the sofa for strokes and cuddles. He is also playful and strong and enjoys running for balls and toys. He is good with other dogs and was adopted with another rescue Pointer – in fact he would probably like a companion although it isn’t essential. He would be better in an adult-only household or at least one without very young children.
Right now Yurid is confused about where he is and why, so is nervous and will bark when meeting new people but soon relaxes with some soothing words and gestures. He likes going for walks but needs a bit more lead training. His recall is good and he is intelligent so we feel he will be quick to respond to training in the right hands.
Somebody will be very lucky to have Yurid as a member of their family. If you think it could be you please e-mail info@pointersinneed.org.uk
Yurid is currently in Oxfordshire and the fosterer will be happy to talk to you about him.
