Sara Caine

Volunteer and Re-homing Coordinator

I’m a recently-retired GP. I grew up in a dog-loving family and have had dogs myself for around 28 years. My first was a rescued working lab puppy, who lived until she was 13, and had a little brother whom we lost when he was only 9, due to cancer. Caspar (now 7&1/2) was our first Pointer and is a posh boy bred in the UK, we got Pablo (was Pongo) through Pointers In Need during 2020. So I’ve been through the processes from the adopter’s side; I’ve also not long ago done a home check as a volunteer and understand how much has to be done in order to ensure as successful a rehoming as possible. I’m delighted to be joining the Pointers In Need team to facilitate many more, as these wonderful dogs deserve wonderful lives.
