We were wandering in ‘find a Pointer wilderness’ when we discovered Pointers In Need. All communications were prompt, professional and ever focused on the well-being of the dogs.
Claire encouraged us to consider Hugo and in short order we found ourselves on the overnight boat from Athens to Crete. Hugo’s foster parents, Tracey and Neville, were so caring, so generous and so clearly in love with Hugo that our only fear was they just might not be able to let him go! They had their own lovely pointer, Hope, to look after and yet found room in their lives to reach out to another Pointer in need. Kudos to Claire and the organization, and to Tracey and Neville for the thoughtful, meticulous preparations. From the registry documents and veterinary checks to notes on habits, diet and daily routines we could not have asked for a more reassuring adoption.
